Bob’s Coats, a program of the Marie Lamfrom Charitable Foundation, helps students gear up for colder days with a free, brand-new coat.

About the program

Bob’s Coats for Kids started when Bob, a relative of our Board members, committed to ensuring that young students here in our West Linn and Wilsonville communities had sufficient outdoor gear to get through the winter.

Bob believed that children who are warm, able to play outside, able to walk comfortably in the rain, and able to feel good about themselves at school are more likely to thrive, learn, and experience joy. We agree with him, and it’s why we are proud to continue this program.

How it works

  • Be a West Linn / Wilsonville elementary or middle school counselor or authorized representative.

  • Coordinate with teachers, students, and families to identify how many coats you need — including size and gender preference.

  • Submit one (1) total request via the form linked below, by EOD Friday, September 25th.

  • Stay tuned for confirmation from the Marie Lamfrom Charitable Foundation staff.

  • Expect delivery of coats to your school office around mid/late October, just in time for cooler days.

To the amazing counselors of West Linn and Wilsonville school districts …

Thank you all for your support of this effort! We literally could not do it without you. And thank you for all that you do to support these wonderful students.
