Reflections on our 2025 Partnerships
A Year of Challenge, Leadership, and Impact
In 2025, Oregon’s nonprofits showed extraordinary leadership, strength, courage, conviction, and determination. In an exceptionally difficult year, they continued to meet urgent needs, hold communities together, and work toward a better, brighter future.
Across Oregon, our partners faced rising need, constrained resources, and complex challenges. Still, they moved forward. They filled critical gaps, collaborated with peers, protected essential services, advanced dignity and belonging, and made life better for Oregonians in meaningful, measurable ways.
Nonprofits at the Heart of Our Mission
We call nonprofits our partners because their work is at the heart of our mission. They are the ones creating change, lifting communities, and transforming lives – and it is our privilege to support and strengthen that impact. Everything we do is grounded in ensuring they have the resources, trust, flexibility, and collaboration needed to serve Oregonians in the most meaningful ways.
We saw organizations lead with courage and care: strengthening programs, supporting staff, deepening community trust, and ensuring their teams and services reflect the communities they serve. Many continued to invest in and improve employee pay, benefits, support systems, and organizational culture – recognizing that when nonprofit teams are cared for, their impact goes so much further.
Listening, Learning, and Looking Ahead
This year, we listened and learned from the organizations closest to the work. Their insight continues to shape our funding approach, including our focus on flexible support, emergency response funding, accessible processes, and critical direct service efforts across Oregon.
We remain grateful to all partners whose work strengthens communities across our region. In a year when the challenges could feel overwhelming, these organizations gave us hope. We are proud to share our 2025 partnerships here – and profoundly grateful to stand alongside organizations working every day for a more just, caring, and brighter future.
Sunflower
A new program in 2024, we launched the Sunflower Grant to support smaller organizations with a faster grant program that issues modest, yet meaningful awards to grassroots, growing, and small-but-mighty organizations throughout the state.
